Welcome, Oakpark Pet Hospital clients!
I’m Caryn Charlie, a canine behaviour consultant working in partnership with the veterinary team at Oakpark Pet Hospital in Oakville to support dogs experiencing behavioural challenges.
Behaviour consultations are held at Oakpark Pet Hospital and are available both to Oakpark Pet Hospital clients and to dogs from other veterinary clinics who prefer this location.

Many of the dogs I work with are experiencing fear, anxiety, reactivity, and aggression — you and your dog are not alone, and meaningful progress is possible.
What to expect
Behaviour consultations are 45 minutes and begin with a brief history so I can better understand your dog, their challenges, your goals, and your lifestyle.
During our session we will:
- Identify the root of the behaviour concern
- Work through management strategies for immediate relief
- Begin training approaches to change the behaviour
- Address any questions you may have
Veterinary Collaboration
Behaviour and health are closely connected. When appropriate, I collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure your dog’s behaviour plan aligns with their medical care. After your consultation, your veterinarian will receive a summary of our session so that everyone involved in your dog’s care stays informed.
Behaviour therapy services may be covered by pet insurance - please check with your insurer prior to our appointment.
What happens after
After your consult, you’ll receive a detailed follow-up email with notes from our session, helpful resources, and video tutorials.
