In-Clinic Canine Behaviour Consults

Compassionate, evidence-based support for dogs and their people—right inside your clinic.

Behaviour cases often require more time and behavioural depth than a standard appointment allows. Fear of the clinic, reactivity, separation anxiety, and inter-household conflict can impact patient welfare, client compliance, and team workflow.

I offer structured in-clinic behaviour consult days, integrating directly within your practice to support complex cases while keeping care collaborative and cohesive.

Clinics gain access to on-site behaviour expertise, individualised consults, and comprehensive follow-up — reducing strain on the veterinary team and improving patient experience over time.

How it works

Scheduling
Consult days are booked as single dates or recurring placements, depending on clinic needs.

On-Site Consults
Behaviour appointments take place within your practice, allowing clients to receive structured support in a familiar clinical setting.

Communication & Continuity
Detailed summaries and behaviour plans are provided to guardians, with SOAP documentation entered into your system to maintain continuity of care.

Canine Behaviour Consulting

What other clinics are saying

Caryn has provided behavior consultations for our clients and their dogs for almost 2 years now.  Having this service available for our clients in our clinic has been a game changer.  Many times, anxious dogs often associate veterinary clinic visits as a stressful event.  Allowing these dogs to have positive training experiences at the veterinary hospital can dramatically improve/reduce anxiety for future visits.  Caryn also integrates her behaviour consultation notes directly into our records in real time. This allows us to stay informed about progress, identify any areas of concern or make adjustments to anti-anxiety medications, if needed.  We are truly grateful to have Caryn as part of our team!

Dr Lara Zahra

Clinic Owner, Veterinarian

Caryn has been an exceptional resource for our entire team. I’ve had the opportunity to experience several of her services, including in-clinic lunch-and-learns, private consultations for my clients, and training support for my own dogs.

Equally important to me is the quality and integrity of her methods. Caryn’s recommendations are well-researched and grounded in extensive education and experience. She uses humane, evidence-based techniques—no negative tools and no fear-based tactics—which aligns completely with my philosophy of care.

Overall, Caryn has truly changed the way both I and my clinic approach behavioural medicine. I would not hesitate to recommend her to any veterinary practice looking to elevate their behaviour services and provide comprehensive, collaborative care for their patients.

Veterinarian

Working with Caryn has been transformative for our business. Her deep level of knowledge of canine behaviour allows us to offer our patients and clients a much-needed service in veterinary medicine, while strengthening their bond with our practice.  We constantly learn from Caryn and use her knowledge to make the patient experience less stressful for our patients and their families. We are so thankful to have Caryn as part of our team and to be able to offer her amazing services to our community.
